▎COMPANY PROFILE

Toucan (Hainan) Food Group Co., Ltd. is a key subsidiary of Jilin Hongxiang Agricultural Group.

Established in April 2025, the company is located in Wenluo Processing and Logistics Industrial Park, Wenluo Town, Lingshui Li Autonomous County, Hainan Province, China.

The company specialises in tropical agricultural and food processing and has developed an integrated operation covering cultivation, intelligent processing, warehousing, logistics, and both online and offline distribution.

By maintaining strict control across each stage of the supply chain, Toucan aims to deliver products with clear origins, consistent quality and strong market suitability.

▎CORE BUSINESS AREAS
1. Cultivation under Standardised Production Protocols

The company currently manages more than 1,000 hectares of durian plantations, equivalent to over 15,000 Chinese mu, with approximately 210,000 durian trees. It is the largest durian-growing company in Hainan Province by plantation area.

Its main durian varieties include:

Monthong;
Musang King;
Black Thorn.

Total production reached approximately 2,000 tonnes in 2025.

The company’s plantations have been recognised as:

– A Hainan Provincial Demonstration Base for Premium Tropical Fruits and Vegetables;
– A Provincial Base for the Propagation of High-Quality Tropical Crop Varieties;
– A production base certified under GAP – Good Agricultural Practices.

2. Fresh Durian Distribution

The company has established its sales centre in Guangzhou, from which it is developing a distribution network serving markets across China. The centre also acts as an important link between the company’s brands, customers and sales channels.

In addition to its domestic supply, Toucan has expanded its sourcing and business activities into major durian-producing regions in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries.

Through the establishment of local subsidiaries and cooperation with high-quality plantations, the company is gradually building a reliable supply network across some of the world’s leading durian-producing regions.

3. Advanced Durian Processing

Toucan has established China’s first large-scale durian deep-processing super factory and put into operation the country’s first AI-powered durian inspection and sorting line.

The line combines multispectral imaging with AI-based analysis and decision-making to improve inspection and sorting accuracy while reducing errors caused by manual assessment.

This technology enables the internal quality of whole durians to be assessed on an industrial scale, supporting the industry’s transition from experience-based production towards data-driven and technology-enabled management.

The company’s processed product portfolio includes:

– Durian confectionery;
– Freeze-dried durian;
– Snow-skin mooncakes;
– Durian mille crepe cakes;
– Areca-based products;
– Other processed food products.
